Romalyzer web site

Hi! Welcome to Romalyzer web site.

Romalyzer is a new rom-manager (for win32 platforms) with features I couldn't find anywhere else, and actually needed when rom-sorting. Written in C++, it makes use of zlib for compression and PBL implementation of B-Trees (Peter Graf Base Library - check out http://mission.base.com/ ) for internal DB implementation.

Suggestions/feedback/criticism well accepted!!!

Usage: simply unzip romalyzer.zip inside a folder of your choice, read the readme1st.txt file and double click on the romalyzer icon.

***BACK-UP YOUR ROMS BEFORE USE - ROMALYZER IS IN AN EARLY STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT!!! ***

Key features:

  • Scanning, fixing, rebuilding work DB-wise (i.e. you can actually check your roms against the whole Tosec DB, or Arcade Unemulated DB) and not system-wise.
  • "Rom identifier" option to identify one or more unknown roms DB-wise and rebuild sets with simple drag and drop operations.
  • Support for crc32, sha1, md5
  • Easily create miss/have files using "classic" rommanager formats or custom formats (DB or romset-wise).
  • Import both romcenter and cmpro data files (romalyzer will convert them to its internal format).
  • Rebuild a DB from a custom folder (recursively).
  • List complete/incomplete sets inside a DB.
  • Romalyzer features an application to zip/unzip files one-by-one inside a specified folder (recursively).

TODO:

  • A lot!! See read me file linked on main page.

Documentation - Nice web site - bug fixing - an installshield installer - ...(fill gap)... - will follow if actually needed  ;)
